Flexible Options for Changing Plans
1. Introduction
At Palau Explorer, we understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly. Our cancellation policy offers flexibility while balancing operational needs. Review these guidelines to know your options when adjusting or canceling your booking.
2. Cancellation Fee Structure
Cancellations follow a tiered fee schedule based on notice period:
- Free Cancellation: Up to 5 days before tour departure
- 50% Fee: 3-4 days before tour departure
- No Refund: Less than 3 days before tour departure
Important: Fees are calculated as a percentage of the total tour price. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.
3. Tour Postponement Policy
In exceptional circumstances, tours may be postponed rather than canceled:
- Postponements are allowed for a maximum period of 3 months from original tour date
- No refunds are issued for postponed tours - the full amount remains credited toward the new date
- Postponement requests must be submitted at least 5 days before the original tour date
Note: Postponements are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed during peak seasons.
4. Tour Transfer Policy
Tours are fully transferable to another person with advance notice:
- Transfer requests must be received at least 48 hours before tour departure
- New participant must provide:
- Full name
- Dietary preferences/allergies
- Pickup location details
- Transfers are free of charge and do not extend the original booking validity period
Important: Failure to provide updated information within 48 hours may result in tour participation denial.
5. Exceptions for Unforeseen Circumstances
In cases of extreme emergencies (natural disasters, government advisories, etc.), we may waive standard cancellation fees:
- Official government warnings or travel advisories
- Natural disasters affecting tour areas
- Sudden illness requiring medical documentation
Proof Required: Documentation supporting force majeure claims must be submitted within 72 hours of tour date.
